LAURIE'S DRY
STEAK RUB
Back to Steak page
There are many ways to make
a good dry rub for meat. Play around with the ingredients and
respective amounts until you achieve the desired taste that
you enjoy most. I never really get out the measuring spoons,
so adjust amounts to suit your own tastes.
Equal parts (1/2 to a full
tsp.) of each of the following:
ground thyme
garlic powder
fresh ground black pepper
fine sea salt
cinnamon
chili powder
dry mustard
Variations:
Sometimes, I rub a bit of
Worcestershire into each steak before using the dry rub. We
really enjoy garlic, so I like to rub fresh minced garlic into the
steaks with the rub as well.
